Dossier de diffusion (in French)

In the popular Game of Goose, also known as Snakes and Ladders, the winner is determined by fate, be it cruel or magnanimous; this contingency combined with the oddness of the human being, who is convinced of its ability to control everything, is what led us to create GOOSE.

Inspired by Snakes and Ladders and by the little everyday hesitations and bigger doubts we all, including your closest neighbours, face, GOOSE presents a random string of characters, trapped in the dizzying spiral of existence, in the grip of life... their life.
Snakes and Ladders represents a path through life, with different stages, obstacles and unexpected steps forward. Each square represents an age: the Bridge at the beginning, for example, reflects the rapid development of a growing child. The Inn where we get stuck, embodies adolescence and the discovery of various pleasures. Finally, the Death House might mean the end of the path, but a player can also pass through and continue… Inspired by this playful metaphor, GOOSE is built on separate scenes, showing characters of different ages rising and falling as if they were playing a tragicomic gymkhana. And the characters all share the same, very human wish to control the uncontrollable.
